Swamp Rentals Launches Brand New Neighborhood Guides

Local Solutions, News & Events,

iLS Network is thrilled to announce our brand-new Gainesville neighborhood guides on Swamp Rentals. We teamed up with the University of Florida WUFT media team to produce these new guides, meaning current UF College of Journalism students helped bring our vision to life in production. Combining our team's vast Gainesville market knowledge with the perspective of current UF students created the perfect team to nail guides about the neighborhoods of Gainesville.

Our team felt inspired to reimagine the Gainesville neighborhood guides when Sarah Watts joined our team in the Spring of 2022 as our new Market Director. Sarah's film background made her the perfect Swamp Rentals New Neighborhood Guides team member to star in the new guides, as Sarah managed her very own YouTube channel for over 6 years. Sarah began her beauty and lifestyle YouTube channel at the young age of 11, and the channel matured with Sarah into her early college years at UF.

The University of Florida holds a particularly special place in our team of gator grads' hearts. Gainesville continues to change rapidly with lots of construction all over town. Our team wanted to showcase the perks, things to consider, and lifestyles offered in the different neighborhoods. Our goal was to help renters understand their options for neighborhoods around town and find the best-fit neighborhood for them, whether they're a baby gator beginning their journey at UF or a young professional looking to enjoy Gainesville without living in the hustle and bustle of campus.

Our brand-new Midtown neighborhood guide highlights shots like students walking across University Ave and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium right across the street to bring the "off-campus, on-campus" student experience to life. For our Downtown neighborhood guide, we chose shots of popular local coffee shops and people out and about dancing at night to showcase the vibrancy of Downtown. Additionally, we highlighted the up-and-coming Innovation District home to many Gainesville start-ups and small businesses.

The large Sorority Row & South neighborhood begins by describing the convenient experience of living near Sorority Row, an area extremely walkable to campus, as well as Midtown and Downtown dining and nightlife. This guide then dives into the scenic and quiet area south of Sorority Row, a somewhat unknown area for many years that is now becoming a very popular spot for student apartments. Shots of the UF Health hospital and the DNA bridge represent the rapidly growing community of UF Health professionals and medical students. Speaking of expansion, our Archer Road neighborhood guide celebrates the booming construction in Butler Plaza and Celebration Pointe. Archer Road is bustling with new shopping, dining, entertainment, and apartment options.

Moving a little further away from campus, we chose to highlight the coziness of the West Gainesville neighborhood, as students who live here enjoy larger floor plans and lower rental rates while still having easy access to many bus routes for getting around town. West Gainesville is an extremely sought-after area for student housing, with many of Gainesville's largest student housing communities along 20th Ave.

Our Northwest Gainesville neighborhood guide highlights the area home to many Santa Fe College students and UF Faculty, showcasing popular trails and parks in the area with beautiful Gainesville nature. For the seventh and final neighborhood guide, our team wanted to capture the up-and-coming surrounding areas of Gainesville of Newberry, Tioga, & Haile. These neighborhoods are home to many families, as well as a growing amount of young professionals and recent grads thanks to the increasing amount of shopping, dining, and luxury apartment options.
