Culverhouse Real Estate Society Hosts ApartmentsFor Team on Apartment Panel

Posted By: Jack Gerus Leadership, News & Events,

Last month, the ApartmentsFor team and I had the honor of sitting on a panel for the
Culverhouse Real Estate Society to answer questions about the multi-family housing industry
and the work that we do in that space. With a lecture hall full of students in attendance, all
minoring in real estate, there were plenty of questions to address.

The night started with introductions of Sarah, Sydney, and I. We each gave some details
about our background and how we ended up where we all are now. As the event progressed, we
got to share more about the mission of ApartmentsFor and the particulars of our work: how
markets are selected, the cyclical nature of student housing, what goes into maintaining
relationships with apartment communities, and so on. Students also had general questions about
managing a property, where the capital for building comes from, and the difference between
asset owners and managers. All were very insightful wonderings and allowed us to share
industry knowledge with these future professionals. Despite interruptions from tornado warning
alerts, they were eager to learn more about multi-family housing.

During the event, students were, of course, made aware of the service
ApartmentsForLegends.com offers in Tuscaloosa. Conversation about our business model and
strategy naturally led to talking about how ApartmentsForLegends connects students with the
apartment community that is right for them during their time at Bama. Our aim is to make the
off-campus housing search in Tuscaloosa as smooth as possible for students. But that’s not the
only way we partner with the student body.

One of the best parts of the night was demonstrating that ApartmentsFor really is for the
students. Whether it’s hosting on-campus events for prizes, running Tuscaloosa’s local apartment
search, or delivering insights about the multi-family housing industry, we are always looking for
what opportunities will help students the most. Sometimes that means aiding students in a
professional capacity, and sometimes it’s literally fun and games! It was truly a night to
remember thanks to the incredible support of the Culverhouse Real Estate Society and its
members. During the event, the panelists were able to share deep insight into an industry that
many find confusing or deliberately obscured; just one more way that ApartmentsFor brings meaningful value to college campuses.
